Heather's Tumble-N-Tap
Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they're great because of their passion.
About Us...

Heather's Tumble-N-Tap is a locally owned and operated dance studio, serving Mt. Sterling and the surrounding area since 1995. Owner Heather Henry is a 1995 graduate of Perry High School, & a 1999 graduate of Illinois College where she earned a bachelor's degree in both early childhood education & elementary education. She also received a master's degree in teacher leadership from Western Illinois University in 2002. In addition to managing her own studio, she also stays busy as a mother of four. Heather, her husband, Doug, & their children Madi, Mason, Maverick, & Maggi all enjoy being active members of this hometown community. Heather has been dancing all of her life, & has 30 total years of dance teaching experience. The first five years were spent teaching at Linda's School of Dance in Perry, IL. She moved out on her own from there, opening a studio in Mt. Sterling & has been teaching young people how to tap dance and tumble ever since. This spring will mark Heather's Tumble-N-Tap's 25th recital.

The studio is now located 1 mile north of Mt.Sterling (past the ballpark/pool) where a 100 year old barn has been remodeled into the new Heather's Tumble-N-Tap studio.  There has been a lot of  excitement surrounding the move, with all the possibilities it  allows for newer equipment to be utilized, along with a better teaching/learning environment to be established. Lots of exciting things happening!

Heather's Tumble-N-Tap has become a staple of the community. Her talented dancers will often be found performing at community events, talent shows, or local fund raisers. Her annual spring recital has become an event enjoyed by hundreds of people. Heather is excited about the events that have shaped her studio into the establishment that it is, and looks forward to all the new experiences that will help shape the next 25+ years.
